Just as I was getting ready to come away for the night, a thought arose and where better to store that thought than the blog it’s intended for. I don’t know where it’s going, but I do know it needs to be written down before it vanishes. It will either end up as a short story, a flash fiction, or it will be turned into a future novel.
I know how this idea will start though, but where it leads I have no idea unless i truly spend the time working on it. Time which I currently don’t have due to edits that need focus and attention. If I’m struggling to get my head down with those then I have no hope currently on working on any other thoughts. Well I’m also trying to get my current work in progress finished, of which I know I will now have a cover for but need to organise when I can. Anyway, enough waffling. So yea the idea goes as follows…
‘Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. The words brought comfort to Michael as he took shelter from the threatening storm and consolidated his thoughts. He had left everything behind him, his home, his friends and his life, but he couldn’t return to what he once knew. All Michael could do, was to keep pushing forward into unknown, and through the shadows in the valley. His thoughts now were his only friends, no matter how absurd or obscure they might be. Though, they shed little comfort for the reason of his flight. Nor could they answer for his apparent state of insanity. His friends wanted him to get help, but no-one could help him, but himself…
As you can see, it’s more than a little rough but it’s enough of a basis to comply with the need to get it written down. And until such a time arises where I can formulate within my thoughts, what it is that I wish do to with said piece, then I’ll leave it to stew a while longer in the cooking pot.
